Monday April 19, 2021 - Third week of Paschal Time - Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 6, 22-29

Sometimes, as we follow Jesus Christ, we follow him for ease, for the miracles he performs in our lives. The people of Israel in the days of Jesus Christ had fallen into this temptation: they follow him, because Jesus multiplied the bread. He didn't know these loaves don't last for long.

Now, Jesus wants those who follow him to seek essential and lasting food. He wants us to look for him, the real food. But this search requires that we have faith in Him: we must believe Him as the Bread of our life. Let us therefore ask God the Father for this unshakeable faith.
