Saturday April 3, 2021 - Holy Saturday - Give thanks to the Lord: He is good! Eternel is her love ! Yes, let Israel say it: Eternal is his love ... - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 16, 1-8

Dear Christians! On this Holy Saturday, the Church, Our Blessed Mother remembers the burial of the Lord, and we, baptized Christians ready to truly follow Christ the Savior, take part in this memory. We must suffer and die with Christ, that is, enter death with him, according to Saint Paul, before we can be resuscitated with him.

Astonishment, fear and joy, such are the feelings of Marie-Madeleine, Marie the mother of Jacques and Salomé as soon as they arrive at the tomb early in the morning. Joy because the angel told them that the Lord has risen. Unspeakable joy overwhelmed them in the face of this great event. They are not the only ones to be overwhelmed with joy, but all of us, even if we have not seen with our own eyes, but we believe in this resurrection which is the basis of our faith, which is still strong today, as Saint Paul writes in his epistle: "If Christ is not risen, our proclamation is without content, your faith also is without content". (1Co 15, 14). The disciples were among those who suffered the most from the death of Jesus because the Master, in whom they had hoped so much, had died, and if Christ had not been resurrected, it would have been their utter disillusionment. .

Dear Christians, the disciples' grief has turned into great joy, for Christ is risen. We too have suffered with him contemplating the mystery of his passion during this week. Just yesterday we focused on his passion and death, while there today we rejoice, filled with great hope in the new life that the Risen Christ brings to us. Thus, death is not an end for us believers, but a passage to true life with Christ. He is the firstfruits of those who died, according to Saint Paul. Therefore, the grave will not engulf us forever, but we will be resurrected at the end of time.

Lord Jesus! On this glorious Easter day, give us strength, courage, faith and hope in the face of the difficult struggles that invade us every day, so that we can have peace and happiness with You, the Risen One. Amen!

The Spirit of truth will guide you into all truth
