Tuesday February 16, 2021 - Sixth week in ordinary time - If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, says the Lord; my Father will love him, and we will come to him - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 8, 14-21

Jesus warns his disciples of the yeast of the Pharisees and of the yeast of Herod. The yeast: it is an input used in baking, to make the dough rise. So the leaven of the Pharisees and the yeast of Herod is nothing other than pride, selfishness, hypocrisy ... If Jesus strongly warns, it is because he is easy to be trapped, the heart of man is easily corruptible.

Brothers and sisters, nowadays, many are those who are contaminated by this yeast, it obscures our deep being, so much, we are puffed up with pride in trampling on humanity. My warning from Jesus also applies to us today. God corrects us because He loves us, He does not admit that one of us is lost.

Jesus, help us to live as authentic Christians: with love and frankness.
