Friday, September 18, 2020 - 24th week of Ordinary Time - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 8, 1-3 - Blessed art Thou, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for thou hast revealed to the little ones the mysteries of the Kingdom!

Jesus did not spare himself, proclaiming through cities and villages the Gospel of the Kingdom of God: this is his mission, to save humanity and the world. He taught and preached only that which is good in Him, persuading the twelve and some women to follow Him. There is no master who will not convince his disciples of what he teaches, otherwise he becomes doubtful and not very credible. Christ chose the twelve to follow Him, and it is only natural that they should follow Him, and it has been in God's nature from the beginning to choose someone to cooperate with Him.

The proclamation of the gospel of the kingdom of God continues to this day, even though Christ no longer does it directly; but He still chooses men and sends them out, through cities and villages. The task is not easy because of contexts and cultural differences, so they need the support of all of us, both in prayer, by counseling and even materially, so let us ask Christ whom they have chosen to follow to always guide them.
