Dear Christians! Today and tomorrow, the passages proposed to us are for Jesus a way of putting us before the bad habits of our daily life that are not in keeping with the Gospel.

Jesus asks a simple question: Can a blind man guide another blind man? The answer is immediately no. Let us be clear, let us be honest in life and in everything we do. Let us first check what we have to say or present. Let us also check everything before we accept, follow or implement. In our lives, there are so many blind people leading blind people. Blinded by selfishness, greed and pleasure, we obediently follow words, ideas. Naturally this ends in the abyss, not to say in the furnace of hell.

The second question is how can we claim to remove a strand of straw from our neighbor's eye when we are not even aware of the beam blocking our own eyes? We are so quick to judge, spy and criticize the faults of others, however small and insignificant they may be, while our misconduct is so enormous that we do not see it. To make matters worse, we can't stand to be criticized. We often see so well what is wrong with others and pretend to know how they should act. Why not correct ourselves first, before criticizing others? Let's start with our self-criticism. Let us take for ourselves the words of Jesus to the adulteress: let him who has never sinned cast the first stone.

The Spirit of truth will guide you into all truth
