Tuesday, July 28, 2020 - 17th week of Ordinary Time - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to St. Matthew 13, 36-43 - The seed is the word of God, the sower is Christ; he who finds it remains forever.
Dear Christians, all that Christ has revealed concerning the end of the world, this is what we have faith in. But as the Gospel says, our life in this world always has enemies. Because Christ sowed good seed in our hearts on the day of our baptism, but the demons do not tire of sowing weeds in our hearts either.
So, we humans are a very fertile land, whether we are true Christians producing good grain or whether we are enemies of God producing weeds. But as the Gospel says, the time of harvest is near, and the harvest of every human being is gathered. The fruits of the work of true Christians will be gathered by God in His kingdom, and the fruits of the wicked, who are enemies of God, will be gathered and thrown into the furnace, burning forever. God is Love; He does not want any of us to be lost, but He wants each of us to shine in His heavenly kingdom. Let us therefore accept to be saved from the darkness of sin, selfishness and hypocrisy. Let us cultivate love wherever we are so that we do not deserve a place in the burning furnace of weeping and gnashing of teeth, but we will truly reign and sow love as true Christians, as St. John of the Cross said: "Where there is no love, sow love".
