Jesus, travelling with his disciples on a small boat, fell asleep. Suddenly a great storm broke out and the disciples were afraid and had to wake Jesus up. To calm their confusion, Jesus ordered the wind and the sea to calm down. Then Jesus realized that the disciples had little faith. Those who saw Him healing the sick and casting out demons, and who know that He is the Son of God, were still afraid even though Jesus was close to them. So where exactly is their faith?

The same question applies to us Christians as we face difficult moments in our lives. Jesus therefore calls us to remain in faith by following him, for better or for worse. Christ's victory over the sea is already a symbol of his victory over evil and death. So let us not forget, Jesus is always with us and never leaves us alone. Therefore, we must not only believe in Him, but trust Him completely. Jesus was not begotten to perform miracles for us, but to be the Lord of all creation.

Therefore, let us trust that Jesus will free us from fear and help us through our difficulties. It is in Him that we must rely in life.
