Saturday, June 13, 2020 - Tenth week of Ordinary Time - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 5, 33-37  -  Incline my heart to your demands; give me the grace of your law, Lord.

Man is versatile, both in what he does and in what he says. Jesus denounces this attitude: "You have also heard that it was said to the elders : Thou shalt not break thy oaths... Well! I tell you not to swear at all". The teaching is that we must remain faithful to the word we have given: "Let your word be yes, if it is yes, no, if it is 'no'. God is faithful and constant, we, sons of God, must inherit these qualities. It is the Christian who knows how to hold on to these qualities that is called a faithful Christian.-
