Tuesday, May 26, 2020 - Seventh week of Easter Time - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 17, 1-11 - I will pray to the Father, and He will give you another Defender who will be with you forever.

Once again, Jesus reassures the disciples, affected by the announcement of his departure, and promises them the Defender who is none other than the Holy Spirit. The Spirit will come to convince the world to repent and that it may finally know the truth. Today we no longer have an excuse for not knowing. The Church does everything so that the Gospel may be proclaimed always and everywhere. Thus Jesus' message is also addressed to us, even though He ascended to heaven, the Holy Spirit is always at work so that everyone may share in salvation.
