"I, who am the light, came into the world so that whoever believes in me may not abide in darkness," Jesus said. Our life is still, more often than not, covered with darkness, tarnished by sin and fear, buried by unbelief and ignorance of God, weighed down by the daily routine, swallowed up by discouragement and disappointment. Because of this, Jesus came to enlighten us so that we may live in faith with God. It is not enough, however, to listen to the word of Jesus. This word has been received, it must be put into practice. Faith is thus perfected because it is in action.

Lord Jesus, may we always know how to contemplate you and be attentive to your revelations. May your resurrection be the shield of our faith. Amen.
