The teaching on true bread. But the crowd did not want to believe yet and asked for signs, other than the multiplication of the bread. It was God who sent the manna to the Hebrews in the desert and not Moses and that the true bread, the bread of life is Jesus Himself, the One we believe in the Eucharist.

 

Many times we Christians succumb to the same temptation as this crowd before Jesus: not to believe without a sign. Our prayer is more concerned with material things, while Jesus gives us much more than what we ask for. This is what He accomplishes: the crowd asked for bread, while He gave the bread that came from heaven, He gave Himself.

Love and Salvation

Christmas is a great joy, because it is the love of God that has come to us, proclaims Fr.
