Saturday, March 14, 2020 — Second week of Lent — Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 15, 1-3. 11-32 — I shall get up and go to my father and I shall say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.
This passage, commonly called "The Prodigal Son", shows us God's attitude towards our weaknesses. God respects our freedom and what we think is our autonomy. Although He knows the consequences in advance, He leaves us free to choose. But God remains confident and hopes that one day we will return to Him.
Patient and merciful, God always provide a warm welcome the moment we realize his love and decide to return to Him.
