Monday, April 11, 2022 — Holy Monday — Hail, O Christ, our King: you alone have taken pity on our errors — Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 12, 1-11
Jesus is about to reach the time and place where our salvation must be accomplished. The crowd flocked to him, of course, to see him who was already attracting them by his teaching and his actions, but also and above all to see if the resurrection of Lazarus lasted. Let us remove our doubts on this point, the miracles of Jesus are neither a magic trick nor a simple conjuring. On the other hand, Mary shows us a proof of humility and unconditional love. And finally, let's beware of the greed and avarice shown by Judas. He was not so much concerned with the fate of the poor, but rather with what he considered wasteful, given the onerous cost of Mary's gift.
