This passage from the Gospel according to Saint Mark cannot be taken literally to affirm that Jesus had womb brothers. Certainly, the person said, "Your mother and your brothers are out there looking for you". It is a person of his community who knows his brothers, who knows him because he also came to him. Jesus asked him, "Who is my mother? who are my brothers?" and he himself answered that those who do the will of his Father are his brothers, sisters and mother.

Jesus elevates those who do God's will to the same rank as Him. The Mother of Jesus is here an example for us, encouraging Him to make this great proclamation. He raised his mother who is none other than Mary. She conceived him and the Word became flesh in Mary. Mary is the way of God's will. She submitted herself to God's will as she said: "Let it be done to me according to your word".

It is impossible for us humans to do God's will if we do not live in humility. A model for us, and an example the mother of God. Let everyone aspire to self-sacrifice and humility.

The Spirit of truth will guide you into all truth
