When Elijah pleaded with God, saying: "Listen to me, Lord, listen to me" so that these people would accept that You are the Lord God and that only You can turn their hearts around again. Fire poured out and burnt the sacrifice, and the wood, the stones, the earth and the surrounding waters dried up. Fire symbolises God's purifying power. Love and Salvation
