Jesus Christ was a Jew; that is to say, he followed Jewish customs and the Jewish religion; so he was one of those who used the Psalms a great deal in his life. For example, on Holy Thursday, it is said that after Jesus had eaten with his disciples and established the Eucharist, he and his friends sang a song of praise; in the same way, Jesus on the cross spoke many words taken from the Psalms. At the end of its second General Assembly, held from 15 to 18 October 2024, the Episcopal Commission for Justice and Peace sent a message to government officials at all levels, as well as to all Malagasy and all people of goodwill.
