The letters from the bishops of Madagascar can be interpreted in two ways concerning relations between the State and the Catholic Church on our island. Firstly, the letters encourage Catholic men to be active in politics, especially after 1972. The second is to warn against misunderstandings, as religion is not supposed to support a political ideology... Catechesis on the Church, the family and politics, in collaboration with P.
