According to the Scriptures, what we call "work" in the book of Exodus: The Jewish people, i.e. the Israelites, were enslaved to labor, the descendants of Jacob, worked like animals, against their will; shows the nature of slavery. As a result of this slavery, the work of salvation was gradually revealed. The definition of work evolved as Greek culture expanded to include service... Catechism on work, in collaboration with P. Love and Salvation
