The ascension of Jesus Christ to heaven is considered one of the days commanded to be sanctified. There are two aspects to the mystery being celebrated: first, Jesus has returned to the Father from whence he came, so that we can no longer see him; second, he sits at the right hand of God the Father and reflects the glory he had long ago. Love and Salvation
