Excellency,
On this feast day of Saint Vincent de Paul, second patron saint of Madagascar, we have just learned with joy the good news of your appointment as the new Nuncio of our country. In the name of our Church in Madagascar, I send you the warm congratulations of all my confreres and colleagues in the episcopate and wish you a fruitful ecclesial and diplomatic mission in our country. With you, we give thanks to God saying like Mary: "My soul exalts the Lord".
Rest assured, Excellency, that we will welcome you with respect and dignity as the representative of the Sovereign Pontiff to our Church in Madagascar. And we hope that your presence will strengthen the bonds that exist between the Holy See and the particular Church of our big island. You come from Jerusalem in the footsteps of the Lord, this will bring us a new breath of our will to follow him on our daily journey.
The Bishops of Madagascar are currently preparing for the ad limina visit to Rome, it will be a great opportunity for all of us to thank the Holy Father.
Anticipating the joy of welcoming you soon, awaiting the date of your ordination as well as your coming to our house, Thanking you also for your "Yes" to this mission in Madagascar, please believe, Excellency, in the expression of my distinguished feelings in Our Lord.
Fraternally in Christ.
