The National Chamber of Agriculture is helping farmers and beekeepers to master beekeeping techniques. Farmers from three organisations in the Analamanga region benefited from training organised by themselves. The training is part of the FFF FAO project to combat climate change. The Chamber of Agriculture believes that bees contribute a great deal to this work. So these farmers are being encouraged to keep bees and develop in this sector, according to Mr Elysé RAHARISON, Technical Manager at the Chamber of Agriculture...
In addition to the forest where the bees live, beekeeping also contributes to the development of agriculture, and contributes to farmers' incomes.
Beekeeping management has been entrusted to the people trained during the course. Beekeeping has started to recover,’ said training technician Rakotondarsoa Tolojanahary.
All the regions in which the FFF FAO project is active - the Atsinanana, Sofia, Diana and Analamanga regions - have benefited from such training.
