OSCEAH's work on water, sanitation and hygiene has been fruitful this year. It focuses on the fundamental human rights of ‘water’, sanitation and hygiene, so their work has been focused on that. The work carried out this year is to encourage citizens to consider common infrastructures... They have monitored progress in the drinking water, sanitation and hygiene sector.

They have been out in the field, within OSCEAH, campaigning and calling candidates for the posts of mayor and councillor. Making it a priority on their work programme to ensure that the inhabitants of the municipality for which they are responsible can benefit from drinking water, sanitation and hygiene, when they are elected to manage the town for which they are responsible, is the reason for the descent .

Some thirty communes are involved in the campaign, which has called on mayors to make water, sanitation and hygiene a priority. The observation of water problems in many parts of our country is one of the things that prompted the OSCEAH to launch this campaign,’ said Vice-President Andriamitandrina Naivosoa.

Love and Salvation
