They have been out in the field, within OSCEAH, campaigning and calling candidates for the posts of mayor and councillor. Making it a priority on their work programme to ensure that the inhabitants of the municipality for which they are responsible can benefit from drinking water, sanitation and hygiene, when they are elected to manage the town for which they are responsible, is the reason for the descent .

Some thirty communes are involved in the campaign, which has called on mayors to make water, sanitation and hygiene a priority.
