The "Sendika ny Orina Ambanivihotra" or SOA network is developing its youth around environmentally-friendly production, combining tree planting and production. There is already a field of work along these lines for the farmers who belong to it, so it's now the turn of young people to take advantage of it...
The aim is to strengthen the knowledge and experience of young people involved in rural production through cooperation with the international network involved in training in production and the rural environment or RI-FAR. The aim is to enable young people to make decisions about their environment through the implementation of environmentally-friendly agriculture, thereby ensuring sustainable development. 60 young people from central, northern and southern Madagascar are benefiting.
The young people who belong to the FISOI and SOAMITSINJO associations, which are part of the SOA network, received training in environmentally-friendly production and tree planting. The subject covered was agriculture in response to climate change, or AIC.
The training provided by Ms Rasoanirina Ravaka, together with Mr Sendrarivo Fetisambatra Parfait and Mr Mandrato Miharisoa Miandrizoa, both from the SOAMITSINJO Antanetibe-Mahazaza Association, enabled participants to learn more about rural production in response to climate change.
