FEKRITAMA carries out rural tourism work in many regions of Madagascar. Rural tourism is flourishing in the northern part of the island, organized by the Confederation of Malagasy Farmers, said Mr. Mahefa Heriantenaina, the national president.
This organization has been in existence for 35 years. There are 65,000 member farming families. La Confédération des agriculteurs" joins as members. All 23 regions of Madagascar have FEKRITAMA. FEKRITAMA is also part of the Christian Confederation of Christian Trade Unions or SEKRIMA. Defending farmers' rights, representing farmers in various sectors, both governmental and private, and even abroad. FEKRITAMA is a member of the Confederation of Farmers of the South East Africa Region. FEKRITAMA has a number of departments, including women, youth, cooperatives and rural tourism.
