Ranaivoarison Basile or Papa Bio researches, produces and trains farmers in the production of vermicompost. Papa Bio is proud of the benefits of its organic fertilizers. The technique used by Papa Bio is different from fertilizer production by other producers...

The food for the worms Papa Bio raises to produce vermicompost is wild sunflower, hay and cow dung. A foreign researcher who came to visit his production was surprised by the use of these feeds, but when an exchange took place between the two, it turned out that these worm feeds are very good and effective fertilizers. Natural NPK fertilizers are obtained from these feeds, and the ratio of their elements is high, according to Papa Bio.

Papa Bio has confirmed that a healthy diet can be obtained from the use of the vermicompost he produces and teaches to the farmers who come to train with him. What's more, the food tastes special because this fertilizer has been produced entirely naturally.

Lumbricompost also kills small insects that destroy crops, obtained from worms that eat the types of food mentioned above, particularly wild sunflower. The experiment was a success, even the butterfly that destroys the corn plant died and disappeared from the fields when this fertilizer was used.

The vermicompost they use in farming has improved the livelihoods of the farmers who have been trained in it. Many people seek out this product because it is organic. The standard of living of those who produce vermicompost has also improved. There are many trade flows. Most organic producers are now leaning towards it.
