More than 3,000 young trees were planted by members of Mahitsy and Itasy. Various types of trees were found, including fruit trees. The Syndicat d'organisation Agricole network, or "SOA network", joined in this tree planting with the FISOI network. Its director, Andriamandimby Gérard, said that the FFF FAO project supports the project not only in Antananarivo, but also in the northern region. An area of 900 Ha is being wooded in this collaboration.

The FISOI association has a specially trained seedling producer who can guarantee seedlings for 400 members. Each member is encouraged to plant 10 saplings. The goal is for FISOI members to plant at least 4,000 saplings this year, according to Ms. Mamisoa Lantoniaina and Mr. Raobijaona Harinirina Alain Bruno, who is in charge of organizing FISOI.
