Vertigo is not an illness, but a symptom, a sign that something is wrong with your health. A person who experiences dizziness is conscious; it may be temporary, it may be permanent, it may be repeated. Dizziness is accompanied by other symptoms such as ringing in the ears, headaches, anxiety, nausea, vomiting and sweating. The ‘vestibular system’ inside the ear regulates our balance, and if something goes wrong, that's what causes vertigo. Hygiene and health’ programme produced by Radio Don Bosco.
