A canker sore is a disease of the mouth, a shallow, non-haemorrhagic, non-infectious ulcer. The area where it can be found: tongue, inside of the cheek, roof of the mouth, gums, inside of the throat; its shape is round yellow or grey, with a red border. Causes: the mouth is often affected, as a result of using anaesthetic, eating food that is too hot, using a toothbrush that is too powerful, fatigue, stress, hormonal disturbances and intolerance to medication.
