Bilharzia" is a disease acquired by a parasite, entering the pores, when a person is immersed in water, which may contain snails. There are three types of "bilharzia" depending on which parasite enters a person through the skin: those that infect the intestines, those that attack the bladder and those that infect the intestines and brain. From 24 hours to 18 weeks after being immersed in water without washing feet or taking a bath, the person may experience itching and swelling, fever, arthritis... Bilharzia" can stay with a person for 15 to 20 years. To prevent this disease, everyone should follow good hygiene...
