10th Sunday, Year B: The family, struggling at home, will not last; I have called you friends, says the Lord, because I have told you all that I have heard from my Father. We should not be surprised if, for example, those at home do not believe what is being said, such as what Jesus experienced. It's up to people to plan their future, the choices are theirs and they are responsible for the consequences of their choices. Forcing people to make their own choices through various gifts is violence, especially if it has negative consequences for those with whom they will be involved. Christmas is a great joy, because it is the love of God that has come to us, proclaims Fr.
