Varicose veins are the widening of the "vein" of the blood vessel due to loss of elasticity, this vein is the tube that brings dirty blood back to the heart. 30 to 35% of women can have varicose veins and 15 to 30% of men. Varicose veins are of two types: the first, "superficial varicose veins" those visible on the outside that cause aesthetic problems, the second "deep varicose veins" are those that are not visible, but which are inside the muscles.
