Christians are both citizens of earth and citizens of heaven, which is why the Council strongly encourages their temporal duties, guided by the meaning of the Gospel. Those who think they can neglect their temporal duties, because they have no permanent residence on earth, but are walking towards the life to come, are mistaken; they fail to realize that faith itself imposes obligations. The family is precious in God's eyes because, in the history of salvation, the second Person of the Holy Trinity entered the family of Nazareth and fulfilled the Mystery of the Incarnation. Love and Salvation

Christmas is a great joy, because it is the love of God that has come to us, proclaims Fr.
