Monday, January 23, 2023 — Third Week in Ordinary Time — Odd Year — Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life to light through the Gospel — Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark (Mk. 3: 22-30)

The Council of Constantinople II (553) confirmed the condemnation of earlier heresies (concerning the Holy Trinity, Christology), while recalling the definitions made by the previous council. The heresies of Origen were condemned, as well as the three known ideas of Nestorianism. The real goal of reconciling Christians was not achieved because there were disagreements (Rome, Africa, Antioch). The three theological bishops belonging to the Antiochian school were condemned: Theodore of Mopsuestis († 428), Theodoret of Cyr († c. 466) and Ibas of Edessa († 457).

God's third commandment: 'I am the Lord your God: observe Sunday, do not work, but serve God'. The second commandment of the Church: 'Attend mass or worship on Sundays and holy days consecrated by the Church, unless there is an important reason'. God calls the baptised on Sundays to pray.  Catechesis on Sunday observance, in collaboration with Fr Wagner Randriamampandry.

Love and Salvation

Christmas is a great joy, because it is the love of God that has come to us, proclaims Fr. Bizimana Innocent, Provincial Superior of the Salesians Don Bosco of Madagascar and Mauritius, presenting his Christmas greetings. Salvation is accomplished, so life is not in danger of disappearing.
