Tuesday, December 17, 2019 - Third Week of the Lord's Coming.
Gospel of Jesus Christ by Saint Matthew 1, 1-17.
Saint Matthew reveals to us the origin of Christ, the Messiah. It is not an accident but a plan of God, in order that his union with our human nature and our salvation through his Son may be manifest and manifest, that all may experience true freedom and peace.

0 : 00

The ancestors of the Messiah, whom Matthew described to us here, are different people and have different personalities, but they all play a part and have their place in the history of salvation. It tells us that God always needs us, humans, to fulfill His plan for the redemption of His Son for the world. For this Son is the perfect, perfect and justification of the foretold and foremost, sent forth by the Father to establish His Kingdom on earth.

It is clear, then, that the Messiah, made fleshly like the human being, is the God who dwells with us, that God leads us all to come to Him and to share with us His divinity. It is in Him that the promises of God are fulfilled, in Him we can find true redemption.

O Lord Jesus, you have accepted to be born like us, you have agreed to live in communion with us, human beings, in order to guide us and to share with us the ways and attributes of your God. So may we always be able to imitate you, as we move into new life and reach all of us in eternal happiness. Amen.
