Through the account of these two healings, Mark shows us Jesus the "Saviour". It is not only physical healing but also a spiritual one because the faith of those who come to Him and need His salvation, who "saved them" says Jesus.

Jairus expresses his faith here and is convinced that when Jesus lays his hand on his daughter, she will be healed. And it is this faith in him that Jesus continues to confirm: "Do not fear, only believe" and the girl is healed.

Likewise, this woman, who had been bleeding for many years, believed that simply touching only Jesus' clothes would be enough to heal her. In doing so, the source of her illness had disappeared.

These two stories tell us that the salvation that Jesus Christ brings us is not only temporal but also and above all spiritual. This salvation consists in freeing us from the obstacles that prevent us from coming closer to Life in God: this is the mission of Jesus the Saviour.
