Monday, April 06, 2020 - Holy Monday - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to St. John 12, 1-11 - Hail, O Christ, our King: Only You have taken pity on our errors.

Today's Gospel presents us with five characters including : Jesus, Lazarus, Martha, Mary and Judas Iscariot. Of these characters, who do we most resemble? Is it the humble Jesus, who came to save and to raise up? Is it Martha, the one who is concerned about everything and knows how to receive? Is it Mary, the humility personified, the one who anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped them with her hair? Is it to Lazarus, the one who through his experience of the resurrection allowed others to believe and to follow God? Or, is it Judas, the greedy, selfish, felon, profiteer?

Dear Christians! God knows the least of our vices and virtues. On this Holy Monday, let us put our weaknesses, defects and other bad habits at Christ's feet and make a firm resolution to leave them there so that we may progress spiritually in communion with the whole Church and our conduct may be blameless in the eyes of God.
